May 29, 2024Hello! Lot’s to catch up on!
I went to Cyprus again! That was a fun trip. The exchange went very well, and I learned a lot!
It was nice and warm down there which contrasted a lot with the bitter cold of Bulgaria.
Miss Cyprus already!
Sun, Feb 4 – After we got back Elder Williams and I drove down to the city of Haskovo for a sacrament meeting.
We left early in the morning and just barely made it on time.
That was my first time driving in Bulgaria, lots of fun.
The service went really well, we were able to provide the sacrament for some Saints who have not had the opportunity in a long while.
We taught a lesson afterward too!
The next day we went on a mission P-day to Belogradchick fortress. It’s a beautiful castle built into some really cool natural stone structures.
It was a fun trip and we got some epic pictures.
We had a Zone Conference and then transfers.
I had to wait in Sofia to get my new Comp – Elder Banks! He’s fresh out of the MTC and a really cool guy.
I’ll be training for the next transfer or so, he’s already really impressed me.
The main event of the past couple weeks was Sunday the 18th.
President Alliaud from the area Presidency came down to Bulgaria and organized a District!
We’re still not fully sure what role a District has, but from what I can tell it’s like a stake, but instead of wards it has branches. It was a really awesome experience, and a major step forward for the Saints in Bulgaria.
I was assigned to take pictures at the Conference, which was fun. All my favorite members from across Bulgaria were there in one place! Amazing!
That was a very quick summary of a few very busy weeks. We have been meeting with members and finding like crazy.
As the weather gets better, more people are outside and the more opportunities there are to stop and speak with them.
The work is moving forward, and we are seeing much success. Thank you for your Prayers on our behalf!
