October 3, 2022It’s finally time! Unlike the Artemis 1 mission, the Bulgarian and Turkish missionaries are blasting off! We wake up tomorrow at 2:30 to head to the Salt Lake City Airport from where we head to Bulgaria through a series of different flights.
I’m really excited to get to travel with these missionaries. They are such a fun group, we will have a blast!
Not much to report about this last week. It was really sad of course, having to say goodbye to my teachers, friends, and my branch.
Sunday I was released from my assignment as Zone Leader, and the new ZL’s took over. I enjoyed serving in that role, but there is so much pressure and responsibility that was taken off my shoulders when I was released.
This week we definitely did not play monopoly in class at all. Absolutely not.
But if we did it would have been in Bulgarian to practice the language, and not for any other reasons.
And definitely was not encouraged or brought by any of my teachers…
Last time having real Papa John’s pizza for two years!
Bulgarian hamburger pizza here I come!
I’m going to miss the MTC, it’s a really cool place.
The buildings, areas, classrooms, it’s all so awesome!
We went to play one last game of sand volleyball on Saturday. It was a beautiful day out on the field!
There is going to be a lot more cloud cover in Bulgaria. One of our teachers warned us about the constant rain and wind in the fall months. That will be interesting.
A list of cool places our teachers recommend for us to go in Bulgaria.
On the last day of class our teacher played us a song on the Piano! He was incredible!
With over 1,500 missionaries in the MTC, I’m glad I don’t have to stand in line at meal times anymore!
I’m going to miss everyone. It’s really getting real now.
I’m scared, but very excited to go out and serve the Lord!
I already have so many cool stories, and I’m sure there will be many more.
