September 18, 2022Week 7 already. These weeks have flown by. It kind of feels like we’ve been here forever, and that we’ll never leave. I do really like it here, and because of language, I’m not sure I’m ready to leave.
So far, we haven’t heard anything about our Visas, and we leave in two weeks! Yikes!
This week, our teachers pulled a power move, and smuggled us some Chick-fil-A, it was so good! I cannot wait to have real food again.
This is a picture of my teacher’s Bulgarian cursive. I thought English cursive was hard… This is impossible!
This week we said goodbye to two amazing districts of Elders heading all over the United States and Canada. We became very good friends while they were here.
We’ve been trying to keep our spirits up by having fun, for example making a “campfire” in our residence hall on their last day!
This week, our Devotional was given by none other than Elder Uchtdorf!! Hands down my favorite Apostle, it was so cool. He taught us about how we can become better and more successful missionaries.
He told us “Do well that which you can control, That makes a successful missionary” I’ve taken that to heart. I can’t control this language, but I can spend my time trying my best to learn it.
After he and his wife spoke, he came down and spent time with the missionaries! I got to shake his hand! and talk with him!!! After I told where I was going, he said “Bulgaria? That will be hard. But you have the right smile for it.” It was such an awesome experience.
I’m looking forward to an awesome P-Day today. We get to go to the temple today, play pickleball, and enjoy helping new missionaries move in!
Should be a good day.
